New Cover for Last Master of Go

Hi Everyone,

bookcoverpreviewFor Halloween, I updated my cover for my sci-fi & fantasy short story book “The Last Master of Go” the kindle book is just $0.99 until Halloween. Now the cover represents the story better. It is an image of this years lunar eclipse superimposed over the Los Angeles skyline, and if you look hard enough you can see tiny flying saucers over the city and a backward watch face in the corner (representing time travel).

Happy Halloween,

Another Dog Day Afternoon and the Kensington Rune Stone Question?

Hi Everyone,

one eyed suziesHere are some nice flowers for a hot summer’s day, it was so hot that even the dog didn’t want to lie down in them. This weekend we got together with a couple of our friends for barbecue. I misjudged how much gas was left in the tank, so my son-in-law lite up the charcoal grill, and we all sat around the picnic table swapping stories of places we have been and things we have done. And we even wondered if anyone had made it to America before Columbus. I think Eric the Red did and that the Kensington Rune Stone is real, but others don’t seem to think so. In ancient times from the Mediterranean to China there have been sea going ships, and not small ones either. So I see no reason to think that some of our ancestors didn’t sail across the Atlantic or the Pacific to set up shop here for a while, and then move on.

Well that’s about it for today.

4th of July on the Mall

4th of July on the Mall

Hi Everyone, this month, summer is definitely arrived and along with it came the 4th of July with all the fireworks and the sweltering hot weather bringing on the sudden afternoon and evening rain storms. The rain didn’t dispel the heat instead it just made it sweltering hot. One day this week it was 99 degrees and humidity was 72%. I barbecued just some burgers and sausages outside, and after a few minutes was soaked through with sweat.

Earlier this month, out with the really old and in with the new couch.  Continue reading
