Here is a pleasant Christmas surprise for you this Holiday Season, I thought I would share with you a poem from my poetry book “Snowed in by a Warm Fire“. It is a simple poem about driving around town and looking at all the Christmas lights with the delight of a child seeking the most beautiful lighted home.
As if searching for the ancient Holy Grail,
they drive up and down all the back roads
late into the longest night of the year.
Their quest is the myriad of lighted homes,
yard ornaments, and Christmas trees; all lit up
with colored lights to brighten the darkness.
To bring the happiness of childhood memories,
events of wistful thinking to a conclusion,
on this drive through darkened cul-de-sacs.
To seek the perfect light display, a memory
that brings out that warm downy feeling
of past Christmas Eves on this night alone.
Knights of the Holy Decorated Lights.
Worshipers of the Lighted Santa Clause.
Seekers of the Lighted Holy Grail.
Drive on, drive on, not knowing where
the next string of lights will take you.
This post was brought to you by my book “Snowed in by a Warm Fire“
Today I thought, I would share a bit of good new. I just got an e-mail from ACX, and …
ACX has agreed to publish my Audiobook “The Big Burp Theory of the Universe”. That’s right in a few weeks you will be able to buy my book in 4 different formats: paperback, large print, kindle and soon as an Audiobook.
I self narrated it and had lots of fun doing it too. It’s about 8 to 10 minutes long. Has all the noises we used to make in it as I used to read it to my daughter when she was a little girl of 5. I still remember both of us laughing out loud over it. So in the next few weeks, if you’re looking for a fun kid’s book to listen to with your kids at bedtime or in the car, start looking for it in the Audiobook sections of Amazon, Audible and iTunes.
As soon as it is out I will link a page to it.
That’s it for today, hope you all had a Happy Thanksgiving.
I just found another movie I plan to see this holiday season, I get a 2 for 1: One of my favorite actors and Cryptograms! On November 28th, I look forward to going to “The Imitation Game” starring one of my favorite actors, Benedict Cummerbund. Ever since I was a kid, I have always had a fascination with cryptograms, I used to do the one in our Sunday Paper, but I always found them to be too short. In fact, my first word search book series was on Cryptograms, and fortunately, I recently, I revised the series with new covers. “Shakespeare Sonnet Word Game Foolery” this 5 book series contains Word Searches, Scrambles, Da Vinci Codes and Cryptograms based on Shakespeare’s Sonnets.
My five book series challenges and expands your mind to look at words in a whole different way. Here is a sample cover from the first book in my Cryptogram series.
Hi There! This is just a quick hello today to Everyone.
Thanksgiving is getting close, the weather here has turned frightfully cold with gray overcast skies, and I have a lot to do this week for work and around the house. The Holiday is less than 2 weeks away and already the stores are crowded and full of traffic and the web sites are full of sales. I even noticed Amazon was running a sale on some of my books. Late Saturday Night, I published both my Large Print and Paperback versions or the New Testament Word Search Book 5 Acts of the Apostles, on Amazon.com, for your word search fun! Hope this holiday is a happy one you and your family.
Peace be with you
It has been a busy the last few evenings and early this morning: I Added New Free Sample .PDF files to my Freebie page for the “Big Burp Theory of the Universe”, some more New and Old Testament Word Search Books, and even one for my “Shakespeare Sonnet Word Search Fun!” book.
Hope this adds to your word search fun!
Well its off to work I go.
Well, my books finally worked their way through the electronic maze of buttons, fields and clicks

November has arrived with Halloween and All Saints Day past us. Thanksgiving is now right around the corner, and with the days getting shorter until Christmas the Christmas decorations are already starting to appear everywhere in the neighborhood. I’ll be putting mine up in the next week or two. Even with Thanksgiving being the official start of the Holiday Sales Season, this year, my wife, who is handicapped has started her online buying early, too, because she can’t do the mad rush in the stores anymore on the day after Thanksgiving.
Well, I finally finished Book 4 in my “New Testament Word Search Books” Series, both in Paperback and Large Print. I published them and they will be appearing any day now on Amazon.com for your word search fun:
“New Testament Word Search Fun! Book 4 Gospel of John” and “Large Print New Testament Word Search Fun! Book 4 Gospel of John” as soon as they appear on Amazon, I’ll tag them for my Amazon Author Page and my Affiliate page.
Tonight, I stepped outside into the crisp autumn air. In the southwest was a gorgeous half-moon floating in the midst of half of a crisp, cloudless sky. The other half of the sky was a jagged, wrinkled, ripple of dark purple clouds moving silently towards the northeast like slow undulating upside-down waves.
I came back inside and started reviewing the draft copy, which I finished late yesterday night of my “New Testament Word Search Fun! Book 4 Gospel of John”. I am getting closer to copyrighting and publication. Just a few more days working on it, after supper, at night should do it. Then I’ll posted it to Amazon sometime early next week, at least that’s the plan … knock on wood.
Well that’s it for tonight, please watch out for kids tomorrow night, it’s Halloween and the Trick or Treating kids will be out in force going door to door.
